The EP release in April 1962 was remarkable because Follow That Dream was highly popular among disc jockeys, and it even charted at **#15** on Billboard's Hot 100. It should have been released as a single. Despite a few lightweight tracks on the Follow That Dream soundtrack, it remains one of **Elvis Presley**'s most enjoyable sessions from the 1960s. The vocals, production, backing, and arrangements are all first-class. Just six songs were recorded, and only four were released at the time of the film's premiere: Follow That Dream, Angel, What a Wonderful Life, and I'm Not the Marrying Kind.
