Santa Baby, and that 45 sleeve RCA slipped past folks, is plenty sexy. It _was_ 1953, after all. **Eartha Kitt** just mightve been the reason Christmas came a little early that year. Cut in early October, the record paid off quick. By late October through December, RCA Victor pushed it hard, and the song settled in as a holiday classic.

Here in 2025, most vintage Christmas hits barely get a spin, but Santa Baby, a Top 5 novelty standout from 53, still finds its way back every season, keeping Eartha Kitt in the air and on peoples minds come Christmastime.

Backed by **Henri Rene**s orchestra, Kitt delivers a classic. Written just for her by **Philip Springer** and **Joan Javits**, the tune takes a playful wish list to Santa and turns it into a smooth, teasing bit of funmade iconic by the sly kitten, Miss Kitt.
