it's a sunny, warm, and humid day. the weather is perfect.

the sky is all but clear  you see a small cloud quickly
towering in the distance, as if trying to escape the atmosphere.

suddenly, as it approaches, darkness falls -- everything becomes still.
with no warning, you are shrouded in its ferociousness.

walls of water, ferocious winds turning the rain into shards of glass;
you grasp for dear life.

you think you might see something else approaching. its too dark to see.

as it passes, you emerge. you take a glace at the passing storm --

glowing orange and red on its underside, as the sun sets behind it --

the perfect shade to see it in detail, as if under a magnifying glass.

how could something so mortifying be so beautiful?
